This material produces this biologically active, nutrient-rich compost, making this a premium soil amendment and turf dressing. This Compost undergoes a strict monitoring program to meet the standards of the US Composting Council, Seal of Testing Assurance. That means to you, the consumer, that the compost is tested every two months to verify the product’s nutritional value, maturity, and safety. Because of this process, the compost is weed and pathogen-free.
Compost Soil Amendment Uses:
- As a topdress, apply to your existing turf to a depth of 1-2 inches and water or let the rain wash it in.
- As a mulch, apply the material to a 2-3 inches depth to the surface as organic mulching material.
- As a soil amendment, apply 2-3 inches into the soil and till to a depth of 4-6 inches.
- As a landscape backfill mix for planting trees and shrubs, mix 1 part compost with two parts topsoil to improve soil quality and promote healthy plants.
